Research Profile

Dr Adeleke is an experienced Civil Engineer with professional engineering practice as well as academic/research experiences, and hold a Chartered Engineering status from Nigeria (RCOREN, MNSE) and the UK (CEngr, MICE). Dr Adeleke worked in the construction industry for several years, managing various projects from inception and design to tender, build and final hand-over before joining the academic world.

Currently, Dr Adeleke is a Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the University of South Wales, and he is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research supervision and consultancy. Likewise, I am involved in developing policies and processes that support Teaching, Quality Assurance, Student Experience and Achievement.  Dr Adeleke is also a member of an international technical committee, Validation / Journal Review panels, and Examination Boards.

Dr Adeleke is vast in the field of sustainable construction material technology and have published on many aspects of soil stabilisation, cement science, and geopolymer concrete research. His Specialist teaching areas include: Professional Engineering, Geotechnics and Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering Practice, Construction Management, Engineering Site Practice & Surveying, Advanced Civil Engineering Materials, Low Carbon Technologies & Sustainability, Construction Materials and individual Dissertation.

Research interests

Construction materials, Civil engineering materials, Structural analysis, soil-structure interaction, Finite Element Modelling, Concrete Material Technology and Construction Engineering.
