Experience

Graduated from UWIC with a 1st class degree in sport and Human Movement Studies and gained QTS in secondary education in Physical Education.  Following a successfully MSc in Sport and Exercise Science pursued a teaching career in Further Education delivering BTEC and HND courses.  Moving into University lecturing opened opportunities to teach at Undergraduate and Postgraduate within the Sports Science and more recently coaching areas.  Currently a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.   Other roles that have been fulfilled have been to act as an external examiner for University of Plymouth, University of Worcester and University of Gloucester. 

Expertise

Sports Coaching expertise developed from a performance competitive swimming background.  Currently level 3 Club Coach and experience coaching City of Cardiff swimming club (including Masters), Bridgend County Swim Squad, David Lloyds Swimming Club.  Working with Swim Wales as Level 2 Coach Educator.
