Adnan recently completed his 6 year PhD in the University of Northampton evaluating the effects of Whole Body Cryotherapy for sports recovery and performance. Adnan previously completed his MRes in Bangor University and graduated from Cardiff University. Besides cryotherapy, other research interests include exercise-induced muscle damage and the repeated bout effect, post-exercise recovery methods, thermoregulation, extreme environments (i.e. hot, cold, hypoxic) and the mechanisms of ageing. Potential project collaborations on any of these topics are welcomed, as well as project supervision.
Adnan has recently joined the team as a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science, currently module leader for Measurement and Evaluation of Human Performance; Exercise Physiology 2 and Introduction to Sports Science for Coaching (both online and on-campus modules), as well as teaching Exercise for Special Populations. Adnan is a specialist in Exercise Physiology with previous teaching experience covering Anatomy, Physiology, Research Methods/statistics and Study Skills, as well as leading undergraduate dissertation supervision.
