About us

The new Hydra Research and Innovation Group aims to become the centre of excellence for all Hydra research. Our mission is to collaborate with industry partners to generate research that directly influences policy, processes, and public services.

Research themes

  • Critical decision-making across organisations
  • Culturally sensitive leadership and practice

Hydra is an established methodology for the delivery of critical incident decision making scenarios. Whilst traditionally used in policing and emergency services, Hydra has broader applications across public and related organisations, including private sector.
