Chateau Despair is made up of photographs of the former Conservative Party headquarters at 32 Smith Square in London interlaced with reproductions of found photographs of Margaret Thatcher, damaged by exposure to the elements. Towards the end of the book, after essays by Till and James, there is a short section where objects found in the premises were reproduced.
