Description
Dr. Matskevich undertook a Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) for the SEADDA COST Action at the Hypermedia Research Group (Trefforest campus of the University of South Wales). The work involved review and further development of previous work on the integration of data originating from different archaeological recording systems in Israel, making use of tools developed by Ceri Binding. In particular, the STSM investigated the integration of data from the long-term excavation project of the site of Tel Dor and the archive of the Israel Antiquities Authority with advice and assistance from Ceri Binding. A new authority of period terms for the Levant and Cyprus was successfully compiled and submitted using the Perio.do application. Terms of the 'elements' and 'materials' branches of the thesaurus of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) were mapped to the Getty Art & Architecture Thesaurus (AAT) using the Vocabulary Matching Tool developed at USW. Datasets of artefacts (coins) from two sites were converted from tabular format to CIDOC CRM compatible RDF TURTLE format using the USW 'STELETO' data conversion tool.Period | 24 Jul 2023 → 31 Jul 2023 |
