Description
A one day workshop I organised, planned and taught for employees of the 'National Centre for Learning Welsh'.Split into six sessions throughout the day, the content focussed around various fundamentals of Graphic Design such as Ideation, Design Research and Aesthetics.
This was a paid event and brought in a revenue stream for the University.
From a pedagogical point of view, this was an interesting process in which I furthered my knowledge of the diversity of Learners - the clients were aged between 40 - 60 which is very different from the usual cohort I teach at Undergraduate level. I approached this with readings from Dorscine Spigner-Littles, Chalon E. Anderson (1999) and John T.E. Richardson (1994) regarding the education of mature students and the potential pitfalls and benefits.
