Sustainable Corrosion Protection Coatings: Special Issue InformationDear Colleagues,
This Special Issue focuses on sustainable corrosion protection coatings, an area critical for extending the lifespan of materials in harsh environments while reducing the environmental impact. The development of corrosion-resistant coatings has made significant advances in recent years, especially in the context of reducing the reliance on hazardous substances and incorporating sustainable materials.
The scope of this Special Issue encompasses innovative approaches to designing and developing coatings that are not only highly effective against corrosion but also environmentally friendly. We invite original research and review articles related to advanced materials and technologies for corrosion protection, such as bio-based coatings, self-healing coatings, coatings based on sustainable polymers, etc. Studies that explore the synergy between a material’s structure, durability, and protection efficiency, along with those focusing on the environmental effects of corrosion and advancements in numerical and computational modelling, are particularly welcome.
We aim to present the latest advancements in sustainable corrosion protection coatings, showcasing innovative materials and techniques that offer both high performance and eco-friendly characteristics.
