LABAN FOR ANIMATORS is a 3-day workshop that will get you started with gluing it all together!
In this workshop, I will give you a quick taste of Laban Movement Analysis and show you why it can help animators create memorable character performances. We’ll look at how movement communicates through phrases of action that are like sentences of a narrative, which is the best tool you’ll ever use to start breaking down an action and planning key poses. I’ll introduce you to different ways that dynamic qualities of movement are expressive, and we’ll get into that ever-elusive obstacle to believable animation: weight! Beginner, intermediate and advanced animators will learn new concepts they can apply right away.
