Description
The workshop involves exploring what it means to be 'Entrepreneurial'. The aim of the workshop is to enable understanding among the college students that enterprise is more than business start-up, its a mindset that can be employed in every walk of life. The workshop focusses on 2 case studies that are presented and students map out what they think was 'entrepreneurial' in their business strategy and help develop scenarios wherein they can demonstrate 'entrepreneurial behaviour' in their work and academic life by creating new value, continuously identifying opportunities, managing risks and leveraging resources using Effectuation theory. This workshop will focus on identifying the entrepreneurial traits of the students through various fun activities that help highlight traits such as resource leveraging, risk management, networking etc. The session will focus on highlighting to the students that success in work life is not only about knowledge development but development of an entrepreneurial personality, behaviour and attitude differentiates an enterprising student from a 'good' student. Cases will be derived from the lives of successful entrepreneurs (42 below, Penderyn, Wonky, Welsh Denim) and students will map their personality across entrepreneurial traits in FiFa football card fashion. Whether students want to start a business, grow their family business or join a high growth corporate firm, this session will help students reflect on their actions for a successful future. Content will also include managing failure, planning for success etc.
