Crynodeb
This study was carried out as a part of an extensive research on the impact of contextual variables on site managers effectiveness in the construction indusUy in Algeria. The purpose of this paper is to report findings regarding the effect of organisational size at the project level on the relationship between site managers leadership orientation and project effectiveness. Project size was measured by means of three indicator variables that are: number of workers, value of contract, and duration. The results show that leadership effectiveness is higher where projects are shorter, their value of contract are lower, and number of workers is smaller.
