Dental treatments are expensive, and dentist training is time consuming and involves processes that have risks associated with them. The world is looking into alternate ways to train dentists. This paper aims to address these challenges by proposing a virtual reality-based training application that helps dentists gain initial training in the risk-free virtual scenario. The application was evaluated by 26 dental trainees, who carried out different tasks on dental treatments in the virtual scenario. After testing, each participant completed the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. The SUS data analysis resulted in a score of 82.50, which indicates that the participants like the virtual reality application and would recommend it to their colleagues. The demographics analysis showed female SUS score greater than males, and participants aged <=30 years had SUS scores more than those aged >30 years. However, there is a need for more testing sessions to generalise the results of this research.
