Crynodeb
Research carried out among 100 women entrepreneurs in Industrial South Wales established a widespread preference for accessing personal, business and professional development via contacts formed at women's business networks rather than via mainstream business agencies. As part of a spin-out research project, a business women's network is being established with the aim of accelerating the processes identified in the original study. This paper explores the theoretical arguments underpinning both projects and reflects on the findings which are emerging from the developing network. 1.
