Here is a short summary: In this paper we discuss the use of qualitative research with young people. We point out that there are still some prejudices stemming from quantitative ideology and from orthodox qualitative ideas. We suggest a more pragmatic approach, and go on giving examples as to when and for which research question certain qualitative approaches are most fruitful, using examples from our own research.
