This paper provides an advanced optimal energy storage evaluation of a solar powered sustainable energy system. This work contains an investigation to examine the Li-ion and lead-acid batteries capabilities with reference to cost-benefit analysis. the results indicate that the lead-acid battery is the best option for the solar powered sustainable energy system for buildings and Li-ion battery is suitable for the mobile stand-alone PV system described in this paper.
