•Foxes (91%) and rabbits (81%) were the most frequently recorded species at airfields.
•The diversity of mammals reported ranged from 2 to 13 taxa (
= 7) across airfields.
•77% of airfields reported the presence of wildlife attractants airside.
•A suite of the most frequently implemented management measures was identified.
•8 management measures were identified as successful by >70% of executing airfields.
