Crynodeb

There are few examples of methods of training that have been developed by a mental health service user. The report sets out the findings of such a method of training, which was evaluated in the University of Glamorgan. It was March 2010 when Jocelyn Duncan, a service user with more than 50 years experience of living with a Bipolar Disorder, approached the University of Glamorgan to undertake an independent evaluation of her traning method. She had been using her method of training to raise awareness and understanding of this illness with those diagnosed with it and their families. The University agreed to carry out a study to evaluate it with students.
