Nursing homes provide care for the elderly globally. In recent literature it has been highlighted that human rights are sometimes compromised in nursing homes. This review aims to evaluate the literature regarding human rights in care homes. Studies will be included if they report on relevant outcomes related to human rights. Primary outcome(s): dignity, equity, respect
Sub-outcomes: economic impact (cost-effectiveness, etc), economic benefits (reduction in lawsuits, penalties, etc). Studies will be excluded if they are unrelated to the dignified care of the elderly in nursing (or care) homes.
