In 2015 I was successful in applying for a £5,000 CELT Innovation grant to write and direct a short experimental film; Halfway, produced with a student crew on location in the Brecon Beacons, presented an alternative narrative structure that endeavoured to engage the audience in a direct and visceral experience that was not slave to a conventional story arc, or audience expectation. Halfway was shortlisted for Aesthetica in 2016.
