Crynodeb
Sophia Kier-Byfield and Ngozi Oparah are part of a new generation of storytelling researchers who have completed doctoral research in recent years. Although their routes into storytelling research are very different, they both came to it through questions they were trying to address in the context of professional practice and both found particular value in the use of digital storytelling as a tool for storytelling research. Here, in a different kind of case study format that is itself conversational and narrative-based, they discuss their research journeys, the development of their research practice and its ethical foundations, specifically in relation to trauma-sensitive projects concerning gender-based violence.
