Crynodeb

This paper considers the writer Raymond Williams ideas on Realism as manifest in his critical theory, literary criticism and importantly, in his 'Welsh Trilogy' Novels. I suggest that his ideas might be applied to assessing the cultural and social value of photography practices. A key element of this study is how Williams saw photography, and what place photographs played in his novels
