    Crynodeb

This chapter looks at how young people are negotiating issues of national identity through their engagement with Welsh-language social network documentary. In this chapter, three Welsh-language multiplatform initiatives are mapped - Fideo Fi ('My Video'), PUMP ('FIVE') and HANSH ('BITE') - to demonstrate how media producers capitalise on the affordance of the internet to facilitate user-generated contributions. Two case studies are presented from a sample period between February and November 2019, relating to Cofiwch Dryweryn (remember Tryweryn) and the YesCymru (Welsh Independence) movement, to reveal how social media enable increased levels of political engagement and participation.
