Crynodeb

In its endorsement of the genetics education framework developed specifically for the nursing professions (Kirk et al 2003) the UK's Nursing and Midwifery Council recognised that 'for health professionals, genetics has already become an issue they cannot observe from the sidelines'. Genetics and genomics present healthcare systems with two challenges:- . to ensure that patients receive a good service now and . to prepare the workforce to understand and use the new advances that are predicted.
