This research, highlighted in recent media coverage, explores the barriers women face in advancing to leadership positions in Wales. Featuring insights from business leaders like Rachael Flanagan, founder of Mrs Buckét, the coverage underscores how traditional stereotypes and workplace biases hinder women’s progression. It further discusses the importance of inclusive workplace cultures, flexible working, and supportive policies as essential elements for empowering women to pursue and succeed in leadership roles. This study, conducted by CBI Cymru and the University of South Wales, contributes valuable recommendations to foster gender equity and unlock women’s full potential across Welsh industries.
